Explorer Zip has been the PFD of choice for ocean adventurers, sea kayak guides and touring paddlers for many years now. The record-breaking Canoe Round Britain team relied on theirs last year to help them achieve their mission in comfort and security, whilst the staff at Glenmore and Play Y Brenin use theirs day in, day out, to deliver world class coaching and guiding, whatever the weather.
For 2018 we have improved the rear bladder pocket and included webbing loops on the shoulders so now you can attach removable bladder hose clips. This allows you to position the drinks hose in several ways, whichever suits you best. The hose clips are supplied with the Peak UK
Bladder (sold separately).
Adjustments include our integrated quick adjust side straps and our one-time adjust shoulder system with padded shoulder covers. The front pockets include two huge chest pockets with phone / camera compartments. The extra flare and radio pockets feature gear clips, plastic sliders and drainage holes.
The front zip opening has been tweaked since the first incarnation to offer an entry system that is easy, quick and secure, and the PFD is manufactured from our tried and tested 600d ripstop polyester / nylon with environmentally friendly Gaia eco flotation foam. These materials have been used across our range for years now and the Explorer Zip, along with the rest of our PFD range, has gained a deserved reputation for its bombproof construction.
