A New Wave Summer It's been a busy first summer at New Wave Coaching. We've been out taking advantage of the river releases and making the most out of the long days. We've ran our first international trip to Slovenia with a team of long term New Wave Riders. Who are already talking of next year's trip to Nepal.
In the mean time our rolling clinics are growing with great success. Friday drop in sessions have been popular for paddlers topping up their roll after work. We've been using HD video clips to develop their understanding to nail that roll. To great success here's what we get up to on our rolling clinics:

On top of the drop in clinics, we've been moving around the UK, using brief spurts of rain and local damn released rivers such as the Washburn in order for paddlers to get the most out of our sessions. Recently we took a trip up to the river Washburn and tees to practice on faster and steeper whitewater. Check out Craig getting to grips with the lock and load technique.
The next few month's are pretty action pact. I am off to Plas Y Brenin for some Level 5 development work. This is always exciting, it's great to have such collection of outdoor enthusiasts in one place. I always enjoy heading over, there's some great knowledge available and plenty of passionate paddlers ready to share their stories and tales.
From then on we've got whitewater safety and rescue courses, four star inland trainings and Dynamic Progression courses, all keeping us busy. Not to mention a steep creeking trip to the Highlands. But that's a story for next time.
