Fitting your Predator Lee or Ducati Helmet

So, you've scored yourself one of them cool new Predator lids, and you've unwrapped it to find not only a fine looking helmet but also a multitude of different fit pads.

To get it to fit nice and snug without rattling around your bonce there's a couple of things you can do for a superior fit!

First thing, separate the pads into front and rear. The one with the single bump in the middle goes at the front for forehead and temple protection. Play around with the size of pads to find which cushion the lid against your head best.

Lay the front pad in the liner so it runs around the edge and just over the front rivets, as in the picture.

Then spin the helmet round. Position the bumps on the rear pad so they fix just inside the liner, leaving the main pad strip outside the liner. The stiffer pads seem to work best here if you can use them.

Then with the fixing pads on the ends of the strip, curve the pad round and down inside the liner so the tips sit underneath the rivets. This means the pad will hook under the back of your head to grip and prevent the helmet sliding around when you're in the water.

The final thing is to slide the side adjusters so the straps are nice and taught around your ears when the buckles fastened under your chin and there's no slack in them.

So, voila! Your slick new lid is primed and ready for a session on the river. enjoy
